Los Gauchos Invitational Soccer Tournament
TOURNAMENT RULES
This tournament shall be played under FIFA rules as modified
by USYSA, CYSA-S and the Los Gauchos Tournament Committee.
All decisions and calls of the tournament referees are FINAL.
Protests are NOT allowed. Any situation not covered by the
rules will be resolved by the designated Field Marshall or
Tournament Director/Committee.
REGISTRATION
Mandatory check-in. Teams must check-in on Saturday. one
hour before their first scheduled game, with all requested
credentials. All CYSA-S teams must have a carded administrator
on the sidelines.
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
At check-in, the team roster will be matched to the USYSA
and CYSA-S Laminated cards. Player cards and player registration
forms are mandatory.
AYSO teams must present signed medical release forms and
laminated player passes with pictures.
There will be no player additions after check-in.
Travel papers will be required for teams outside of CYSA-S.
Each team is allowed a maximum of eighteen (18) loan players
with appropriate papers.
A registered player must participate in at least one match
to qualify for awards.
Players with casts MAY NOT participate.
GAME CHECK IN
ALL TEAMS MUST CHECK IN WITH THE FIELD MARSHALS 30 MINUTES
PRIOR TO EACH AND EVERY GAME. FIELD MARSHALS WILL BE LOCATED
NEAR YOUR FIELD IN “RED MESH” PENNIES. MARSHALS
WILL CHECK YOUR ROSTER, LAMINATED CARDS AND UNIFORMS, SHIN
GUARDS, ETC.
Players MUST wear shin guards to play.
The first team listed on the schedule is the home team. In
the case of color conflict, the home team will change to
an alternate uniform.
Teams must be on opposite sides of the field. Home team has
choice of sidelines.
Failure to have seven (7) players available within five (5)
minutes of the scheduled game time, constitutes a forfeit.
GAME LENGTH
Preliminary games will be as follows:
U14-U19 60 minute games; U10-U13 50 minutes games
Five minutes will be allowed for half-time.
Overtime will not be allowed in preliminary round games.
Semi-final games ending in a tie will go directly to shootout.
Championship games will be regulation time with two (2)
ten (10) minute overtimes and penalty shots, if required.
CONDUCT
Any player or coach receiving a red card shall not be allowed
to participate in the balance of that game and the next game.
Coaches are responsible for their sidelines.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to suspend players,
coaches, or teams for the remainder of the tournament.
No refunds will be granted to teams suspended from the tournament.
COMPETITION FORMAT
The following point system will be awarded:
Six (6) points for each win.
Three (3) points for each tie.
Zero (0) points for each loss.
One (1) point for a shut out. (0-0 tie is not a shut out)
One (1) bonus point will be awarded for each goal to a
maximum of three (3) points, regardless of whether the
scoring team
wins, losses, or ties.
Should any team forfeit, the score will be recorded as
1-0 and the opposing team awarded seven (7) points. The
forfeiting
team will not be allowed in future Los Gauchos Tournaments.
If a team is deemed to have a deliberate forfeit, whereby
the final outcome will be affected per the judgement
of the Tournament Officials, all previous games in which
the
team
participated in may revert to seven (7) points (1-0).
IF TEAMS ARE TIED AFTER REGULATION GAMES, THE FOLLOWING
TIE-BREAKER
SYSTEM WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE FINALISTS:
Head to head competition.
Most shut-out wins. (0-0 is not a shutout)
Goals allowed
Goals scored. (to a maximum of four (4) per game)
Penalty kicks.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitutions shall be unlimited. Players must enter at
the center of the field. Substitutions may not be made with
the consent of the referee at the following times:
Prior to a throw in, only the team in possession may sub.
Prior to a goal kick. Either team may sub.
After a goal is scored. Either team may score.
After an injury to a player, only for the injured player.
After a caution or yellow card, the cautioned player may
be substituted.
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION
If, due to an act of God or other reason, the tournament
cannot be played, a $100 fee will be charged to cover tournament
costs and the remaining fees refunded to each team. There
is a 3 game minimum guarantee for your game fees. If the
tournament is canceled after the first game is played, the
following refund schedule will be followed:
If one game is played there will be a $175 refund.
If two games are played there will be a $100 refund.
ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED ON THE FIELDS.
NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED AT THE COMPLEX.
