INFORMATION
WELCOME:
The Poway Youth Soccer League is proud to present the 12th Annual Poway Country Shootout. The Recreational/All-Star version of our tournament will be held on November 29 & 30th, 2008 in Sunny San Diego County.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to affiliated All-Star/Recreational teams from the USYSA State Associations, CYSA-N and AYSO Teams. Teams traveling outside of CYSA-South must comply with travel procedures. Teams are allowed unlimited loan players. A maximum roster of 14 for Division 5 & 6 teams. A maximum roster of 18 for Division 1-4 teams.
PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION:
If you wish to APPLY FOR PARTICIPATION in the Poway Country Shootout 2008, please follow the on-line registration instructions -or- download and print the Application and return the completed application following the instructions printed on the Application itself. The Application must be received by the Tournament Committee on or before October 30, 2008. Applications are not considered complete without payment.

Acceptances will be e-mailed by end of business, October 30. Early acceptance for those teams outside CYSA-S may be granted to those requesting this consideration.
We may accept late applications, subject to availability. Teams not accepted will receive a full refund. Withdrawals, for any reason, prior to deadline will be subject to a $125.00 processing fee. Teams withdrawing after October 30, 2008 will forfeit the entire fee. This policy is enforced because there are those few teams that withdraw without just cause before, during and after the schedules are posted. The 1% of applicants withdrawing, this way, cause the responsible 99% scheduled tremendous grief due to multiple schedule changes.
*ANY TEAM THAT SIGNS UP FOR THE WRONG AGE GROUP WILL NOT BE GUARNTEED A SPOT IN THE TOURNMENT UNLESS THERE IS ROOM IN THE APPROPRIATE AGE GROUP. IF THERE IS NO ROOM IN THE PROPER AGE GROUP THE TEAM WILL NOT BE REFUNDED UNLESS THE TOURNAMENT FILLS THEIR SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to amend brackets in the event a team pulls out at the last minute or is a no show. Director will insure the remaining teams are provided with the best possible tournament competition play for the good of the game.
ACTS OF GOD:
Rain or other weather conditions during the tournament shall not delay play unless the referee determines the field to be unsafe for play.
In the event games have been played, the refund policy will be as follows:
- One match played = 80% refund less $50.00 administrative fee.
- Two matches played = 60% refund less $75.00 administrative fee.
- Three matches played (as guaranteed) = 0% refund.
NOTIFICATION:
All teams accepted will be notified. Eligible teams must complete their final rosters before November 14th. At check-in you will be asked to present current 2008 laminated players' cards (picture included) and medical release forms for each player. Birth certificates must be presented upon request.
LIMITATION:
To provide quality fields and competitively matched brackets, the number of teams in the tournament will be limited. SEND YOUR TEAM APPLICATION EARLY!
FORMAT:
Each team will be guaranteed three (3) games.
AWARDS:
Trophies will be awarded to 1st place teams. Medals will be awarded to 1st and second place teams. Each player will receive a tournament pin.
