This is a special account established by contractual agreement between your business and the banks we represent that allows your organization to accept credit card fee payments via Internet and have them deposited directly into your bank account. What is an Internet gateway service? A gateway service is a network that validates a credit card order (Visa and MasterCard) and transmits the funds via a process that provides privacy and security (using highly specialized encryption) for all information being transmitted via the Internet between the gateway accounts and your merchant account. What is a discount rate? Every bank charges a discount rate. The discount rate is the percentage of each transaction that the processing company charges to handle the transaction for you.
